Meet a Te Atatu Toasted Gluten Free Fan July 05 2017
My name is: Sofia da Silva
I live in (suburb/city or town): Grey Lynn, Auckland
Also living in my house is: Brent, Eli (10), Pedro (6), Uncle Lee & Scout the Fluffball
My job is: Graphic Designer
A typical morning at my house/my breakfast routine is… go to the gym while the house is asleep, come home and try to fill my kids with as much goodness as possible with a nutritious breakfast, make kids school lunches with as much goodness as possible which hopefully they’ll eat, walk the kids and dog to school.
My favourite Te Atatu Toasted cereal is…gluten free cereal
I love it because. ……It’s such an easy breakfast; it’s already full of goodness so I don’t have to splatter the kitchen with mess trying to make super powered smoothies for the kids.
I eat it with…Biofarm Wild Apple yoghurt, coconut flakes, cocao nibs, freeze dried black currants and when I’m being extravagant freeze dried raspberries.
The best thing about signing up for a subscription to Te Atatu Toasted is…I can count down the days til the kids stop eating cornflakes for breakfast
If I’m not eating cereal for breakfast, I’m having…bircher muesli, baked apple porridge, waffles, crepes or eggs. I try to mix it up. As you can see I spend a lot of time in the kitchen so Te Atatu Toasted is a great easy breakfast. Especially for the days I come back from the gym late or we have early morning sports.
I believe the key to good health is…balance, a variety of wholefoods, lots chewing.
Other boutique NZ brands I love include…Biofarm, Lewis Road Creamery, Harvest Wholefoods, Viberi
My next holiday will be to…Straya
My favourite restaurant or café is…Kokako, I go there to work sometimes when I need a change of scene from working at home. It’s really set up if you want to work there, the staff are lovely and so is the coffee and food.
