Te Atatu Toasted fan Liz Haugh actually lives in Te Atatu Peninsula!

Working as a nurse in Auckland means long shifts so she relies on a good breakfast.

I’ve been getting Te Atatu Toasted cereal since…I met Clare at the night market in Te Atatu a few years ago. I had been looking for a muesli that was low in sugar and tasty as I was at risk of pre-diabetes.

I eat it with…Kiwifruit and yogurt usually.

The best thing about signing up for a subscription to Te Atatu Toasted is… It just appears on my doorstep.

What I love about Te Atatu Toasted is… I do 12 hour shifts and this breakfast keeps me going for longer.

If I’m not eating cereal for breakfast, I’m having. Poached eggs on toast with bacon on the side is my other go to breakfast but I need time to make that and enjoy it.

2020 has been a strange year - what has been the best thing about the new challenges you have faced? The best thing about lockdown was I walked every street in Te Atatu. I got to know my neighbourhood well and became fitter as a result. The teddies, the poppies and Easter Bunnies displayed in all the houses were a joy around every corner for my bubble of one. Also our team of five million did a great job and prevented me from having to risk my life at work during this Covid pandemic. Thank you

And the worst?I was a bubble of one.

My next holiday will be to…It should have been Europe but maybe Rakiura/Stewart Island. I’ve never been... lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery and relaxing

My favorite restaurant or café is…Delicious in Te Atatu. It has lots of room to social distance and lots of outdoor space to enjoy the sunshine...great almond croissants too.

I believe the key to good health is…Good food, good relationships and keep active.
