These are the perfect easy to make and healthy muesli bars for lunchboxes, no need for the overpackaged and highly processed supermarket muesli bars when you can whip these up so quickly, no baking necessary, just chill and set in the fridge. This is the perfect recipe for the kids to make. Because they are made using our low GI Original Blend, they will slowly release their energy – no sugar spikes here!

If you are nut free, swap out the Original Blend muesli for our Gluten Free muesli and the peanut butter for tahini paste.


3cups Te Atatu Toasted Original Blend muesli

1/4cup chocolate chips

½cup mild flavoured honey

2Tablespoons smooth peanut butter

2Tablespoons coconut oil


  1. Line a 20x20cm baking tin with baking paper.
  2. Add the dry ingredients to a large bowl and set aside.
  3. Add the wet ingredients into a small saucepan over a low heat until just melted. Pour into the bowl with dry ingredients and mix until well incorporated.
  4. Spread evenly into the prepared tin and chill for at least 2 hours. Cut into 20 bars and store in a sealed container in your fridge.
