The best way to eat the Original Blend is 1/3 of a cup with a dash of milk, a few spoonfuls of plain yoghurt and some fresh fruit. That’s one serve. Because it’s mostly nuts, seeds and wholegrains, it keeps you full until lunchtime.
If you’ve just bought your first bag, thank you, and welcome to the family. We make every batch by hand here in Auckland and I eat it myself most mornings, so I’d like you to get the best out of it.
It has wholegrains you can actually see, plus seeds and nuts, and a little sweetness from dried fruit and honey-coated almonds. There are no cornflakes, no rice bubbles, and no added colours or flavours. You can read the whole label.
I started making it this blend for myself because when I read the ingredient list on the back of supermarket packs there were too many things I didn't want to eat.. They’re too high in sugar and salt, with filler to bulk out the box. The Original Blend was my answer to that, and I thought others might not want to make their own cereal or have time to, so I started selling it.
A serve is 1/3 of a cup. one bag lasts about a month at 1/3 cup a day I know that looks small. If you’re used to filling your bowl with cornflakes or other highly processed grains, it might look like I’ve short-changed you.
Give it until mid-morning before you decide. The fibre from the wholegrains and the protein from the nuts and seeds do the work, so a little goes a long way. That’s also why one bag lasts about a month at a serve a day. Add a free portion scoop with your order and you’ll never have to guess.
My go-to is a dash of milk, 1/3 cup of plain yoghurt and some fruit on top.
Choose plain yoghurt over fruit yoghurt. Many fruit yoghurts have a lot of added sugar, which undoes the good work. For fruit, berries are a good choice because they’re lower in sugar, and kiwifruit is a cracking local option. I love eating fruit seasonally, from my garden or my Farmers markets too.
I sell online across New Zealand, in big bags, straight to you. Skipping the supermarket and selling direct to my customers means I can keep the price fair without cutting corners on ingredients. It also means I get to know everyone in the Te Atatū Toasted whānau.
You can order whenever you need a bag, or set up a monthly subscription. The subscription is the best value. You can skip or cancel any time, and in the meantime breakfast just arrives.
If you have not bought it yet, you can purchase here.
If you would like to add a free blue scoop to your next order, you will find it here.

I hope you enjoy your first bowl.
